History 12th Annual EPD Sale: Feb. 27, 2009 Montgomery Stockyards Montgomery, AL

Bulls and heifers offered in this sale are raised on consignors farms and complete performance information maintained. All bulls will have passed a Breeding Soundness Exam and found to be potenital satisfactory breeders.  This sale is held in February each year.

The idea for this sale - ranking bulls based on their EPD values - was conceived by Mr. E.J. Gibb, a long time and influential breeder from North Florida.  The idea was put into action by Mr. Dave Maples, former Alabama BCIA Field Manager, and Dr. John Hough, former professor at Auburn University.  The first sale was held in 1990.
